GSW Thrift Store
2441 E Platte Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80909 In December of 2008 the Director of Gospel Shelters for Women, Rev. Marilyn Vyzourek, decided that more was needed to help the women at Liza's Place learn marketable skills. In need of financial resources as well the idea of opening a thrift store seemed a perfect fit. Since opening the store the 2nd of January '09 these goals have been realized in a myriad of ways. The training program, overseen by Nancy Dace, teaches the women to work in several area of retail including cashier, merchandizing, pricing, dressing for success, sorting, processing and more. The generous donations of long time donors has allowed us to grow quickly while having an outreach to the public on a major thorough fare has greatly increase public awareness of the wonderful work done at Liza's Place. The women who work at the store every day are testimony to what the Lord is doing in their lives. When you clean out that closet, garage or storage unit please donate your unwanted but still usable stuff to GSW Thrift Store. Also keep in mind that we have a unique, well stocked store full of everything you need in your home at a fraction of the price of even clearance prices. We hope to see you soon.
