| Hope Home is a 10 bed facility for women that suffer from co-occuring disorders (mental health and drug/alcohol issues). The goal of the program is to help those who are on the streets due to the two year wait for Social Security benefits. We try to get the ladies to the right resources. They attend Independence and Co-occuring groups and Bible Studies at Liza's Place and cook and clean for themselves. They also recieve help with prescribing psyciatrists, therapists, and medication fillers that help the homeless, and also food stamps and medical help for their medical issues. To our knowledge we are the only home who takes this population without benefits and we are exploring this avenue of assistance. We started housing women on Jun 7, 2010. |
